Privacy
This site collects only what its forms ask for, keeps it for 30 days, and uses no cookies, analytics or third-party scripts.
Ortiga Group is a fictional restaurant group and this website is a demonstration. Nothing you send is passed to a real restaurant, and no email is sent to anyone. The practices below are the ones this site really follows.
What we collect
- Reservations: your name, email address, phone number, any note you add, and the restaurant, day, time and number of people.
- Private dining and event enquiries, and the contact form: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, number of guests, preferred date and your message.
- Gift card orders: your name and email address, the recipient's name, your message, the amount and the restaurant. No card number or payment detail is asked for, and no payment is taken.
- The monthly letter: your email address and the restaurants you said you were interested in.
Your IP address
We never store your IP address. To stop one source flooding the forms, we keep a keyed hash of it (an HMAC with a secret that only the server holds), which cannot be turned back into the address. It is stored with your submission and in a short list used to count recent requests.
How long we keep it
- Request counts used for rate limiting: one day.
- Reservations: until 30 days after the day you booked for.
- Enquiries, gift card orders and letter sign-ups: 30 days after you sent them.
Expired records are deleted automatically as the site is used. If you want something removed sooner, write to privacy@dine.phoenixcodes.org and quote your reference or the email address you used.
Who handles it
The site is served by Cloudflare. Submissions are stored in a Postgres database run by Neon, in the United States, so your data leaves the United Kingdom. Nobody else receives it: there is no email service, advertising network, analytics tool or payment provider behind this site.
Cookies and tracking
None. The site sets no cookies and uses no local storage for tracking. Fonts and images are served from the same address as the pages. Server logs record the page, the response code and how long it took, with a random request number, and nothing that identifies you.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its use and withdraw your consent. Write to privacy@dine.phoenixcodes.org. If you are not happy with our reply you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
