Terms
Plain terms for a plain site. Ortiga Group is a fictional restaurant group, and this website is a demonstration of how such a site can be built.
This is a demonstration
The restaurants, people, addresses, phone numbers and menus on this site are invented, and the photographs are illustrative. You cannot eat at Ortiga, Salt Room or Ferro. The forms work and store what you send, but nobody acts on it.
Reservations
- A reservation holds a table for 15 minutes after the time you chose. No card is taken.
- To change or cancel, call the restaurant at least 24 hours before and quote your reference. There is no charge.
- Online bookings are for one to eight people, up to 60 days ahead. Larger parties should send a private dining enquiry.
- The long bar at Salt Room and mornings at Ferro are for walk-ins and cannot be booked.
Events and private dining
Asking for seats or sending an enquiry does not book anything. A real booking would be confirmed by the events team in writing, with a price and a deposit if one applied. On this site nothing is confirmed and no deposit is ever taken.
Gift cards
The gift card page creates a code and a drawing of a card so you can see how the experience works. It takes no payment, the code has no value and it cannot be redeemed anywhere.
Using the site
Please do not send anything unlawful or abusive through the forms, and do not try to overload them. Forms limit each source to five sends an hour and may refuse requests that look automated.
Menus, allergens and prices
The menus list the fourteen allergens that UK law asks restaurants to declare. If this were a real restaurant you would still tell your server about any allergy before ordering, because recipes change. Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT.

These terms are governed by Scots law, and the courts of Scotland have jurisdiction.
